Holiday Trends

The holiday season is upon us!

At Sundance we offer a variety of services to enhance your holiday beauty.  We offer makeup applications and special occasion updo styles.  We also do makeup lessons.  During a lesson, one of our talented and knowledgeable team members will apply makeup to one side of your face and then coach you while you do the other side!  It’s hands on and you can learn a new technique and play with the makeup.  This service is great for someone needing more education on how and why to apply makeup.

This month receive 50% off a makeup lesson when you receive a Tulasara facial (30, 60 or 90 minutes).

If the holidays are too busy and you can’t find time to make it into the professionals, here are a few quick tips to get you ready at home:

Hair:  BRAIDS!  Braids are such a quick and easy way to sass up a plain ponytail or bun.  Try a few braids in the back and folding them in and under each other for a cool, chic updo (see picture).  Or take sections of hair at the front and twist them back into the ponytail and pin it.  This creates more drama in front and leaves the hair sleek in the back.

Lips:  It’s always fun to try a bright or red lip.  If the rest of your makeup is simple, having the lips pop is a must for a holiday party or photo session.  Try Aveda’s Nourish-Mint Lip Color in Poppy or NEW Carnelian.  To add a little shimmer and shine, add a Limited Edition Rehydrating Lip Glaze in Pink Laurel or Golden Lily.

Eyes:  They say it’s all in the eyes!  Try using liquid liner instead of a pencil to really add drama to your holiday makeup.  Liquid liner is also best to achieve the “cat eye” look.  Aveda suggests using a small liner brush and the Mosscara in color, Raven, to achieve this timeless look.

If you have a fancy party, Christmas card pictures or just want to look your best to ring in the New Year, don’t stress- Sundance SalonSpa is here for all your holiday beauty needs.
